Digital dynamite
The Australian Computer Society’s core mission is to empower Australian innovation. We’ve contributed to a new hub for the ACS that incorporates resources for technology professionals to demonstrate new products, crowdsource new ideas and engage in collaboration. Our Placemaking, Wayfinding and Signage systems have been designed with a language focussed on speaking to the canons of technology, with the underlying theme of Binary Code and the human scale.
Capacity, capability and catalyst
The ACS is the peak body representing Australia’s Information and Communication Technology sector. They were relocating to a purpose-designed workspace at Barangaroo by WMK Architecture, which reflected their forward-thinking demeanour and brand values of capacity, capability and catalyst. We were engaged to bring the space to life with signage and graphics representing their values and referencing the technology and services they’re responsible for.
One, one, zero, one
The space aims to promote knowledge-sharing with co-working environments featuring breakout spaces and an interactive hub and state-of-the-art interactive screen. Our objectives were to highlight the core function of ACS; technology and data. Our system needed to induct staff into the space and enhance the strong community feel set out by the architecture. Graphics reflect the use of binary code which we used in grids, super-scaled throughout the space, and adapted for pictograms and signage.

“We are focussed on supporting the development of new high-growth Australian tech products. The hub allows software products to be demonstrated to a broad audience, gaining important insights to reimagine the customer experience and iterate throughout the development process.”
